Not every wedding day goes according to plan, and Shannon and Belal's wedding at Spencer’s Waterfront was a lovely reminder of that.
The day began with heavy rain, the kind that makes you wonder whether the outdoor plans will work out at all. But as the hours passed, the weather slowly changed, and the clouds eventually gave way to a beautiful golden sunset over Lake Ontario.
What started as a rainy afternoon turned into something quite different by the evening. The changing light gave us a chance to capture Shannon and Belal in two completely different atmospheres, each with its own character.
Looking back, I think that's part of what made their wedding so memorable. The day wasn't perfect in the way it had been planned, but it was real, and it gave us moments we couldn't have arranged ourselves.
