Some weddings are memorable not because of how elaborate they are, but because of how they make you feel. Portia and Jesse's wedding at West Avenue Cider House was one of those days.

From the first time I met them, I was drawn to how kind and genuine they were with each other. There's an ease in the way they interact, from the little looks they share to the way they laugh together. Photographing their wedding felt less like directing a series of moments and more like documenting a day spent with two people who are truly happy together.

A Relaxed Outdoor Wedding in Ontario

Surrounded by greenery and open countryside, West Avenue Cider House was a beautiful setting for their celebration. The atmosphere was relaxed, with family and friends gathering to enjoy the day without too much formality.

As the afternoon went on, we took some time for portraits around the property. I wanted to keep things simple and let Portia and Jesse be themselves, capturing their interactions rather than asking them to pose for every frame. The result was a mix of natural portraits and candid moments that felt true to who they are.

From conversations with friends to a casual pizza dinner, the celebration reflected their personalities perfectly. Nothing felt overdone, and that was part of what made the day so special.

A Day Worth Remembering

At Elf Studio, we believe wedding photography should be about more than how a day looks. It's also about how it feels — the people, the little interactions, and the moments you might not even notice until you look back at your photographs.

Portia and Jesse, thank you for having us there to document such a wonderful day. It was a pleasure getting to know you both, and we're so happy to have these memories to share with you.
